With Matthew haul, Naija total don reach 14 medals after day eight – six gold, five silver, three bronze. Naija dey fifth for di overall medals table, with 13 medals from weightlifting and one from boxing. Six gold wey Naija get for weightlifting na from Matthew, Rafiatu Lawal, Islamiyat Yusuf and Edidiong Umoafia. Lawal sweep all three gold for women’s 58kg, Umoafia carry gold, silver and bronze each for men’s 71kg, Ayodele get silver and two bronzes for women’s 63kg, while Yusuf contribute gold for women’s 69kg snatch. For boxing, Zainab Adeshina win Naija only silver for women’s 57kg division.
