AFCON 2025 – Nigerian Officials MIA As CAF Release Full Officiating Team
Confederation of African Football (CAF) don release di full list of referees and video assistant referees (VAR) for di 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, but no Nigerian dey included for di list. CAF put 28 centre referees and 14 VAR officials, with host nation Morocco, Algeria, Egypt and Mauritania providing two centre referees each.
Some of di VAR officials wey go Morocco include Algeria’s Lahlou Benbraham, Egypt’s Mahmoud Ashour, Tunisia’s Haythem Guirat, Morocco’s Hamza El Fariq and Senegal’s Djibril Camara. Di AFCON 2025 competition go run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. Morocco go play Comoros for di opening game for Rabat on Sunday, 21 December.
