For statement wey Prof. Jurbe Molwus sign on Wednesday, ASUU remind government say dem suspend dia two-week warning strike in good faith after top officials promise to bring better offer. But according to Molwus, “all we dey get na press release from Minister of Education, wetin we need na credit alert, not empty talk.” E talk say di ₦50bn wey FG claim say dem disburse never reach any university, and accuse di Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, of misleading Nigerians after im claim say ₦2.3bn don already clear salary and promotion arrears. Molwus yarn say no university worker don see any alert, call di minister statement “fiction of im imagination,” and challenge am to explain how small money like ₦2.3bn fit cover all federal universities.

Molwus talk further say di money wey FG dey mention no even reach, call am “drop for ocean,” wey no fit handle three big universities for Nigeria. Even as FG don attack ASUU decision and order “No Work, No Pay,” Senate don later show concern and promise new negotiation between ASUU, Ministry of Education and National Universities Commission. Di Senate Committee Chairman, Senator Aliyu Dandutse, also talk say dem go involve FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to settle di wahala wey concern University of Abuja land matter. ASUU, however, warn say patience don dey finish as dem still dey wait for alerts of dia legitimate entitlements.
