In order to reduce di plenty number of pikin wey no dey go school again, Kwara State Government don announce say dem go give ₦130,000 cash reward to every girl wey return back to school under di World Bank-assisted Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) programme. Di Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, yarn dis one for Ilorin during di third quarter inter-ministerial press briefing on Wednesday. E talk say di programme wey World Bank and Federal Government dey fund together go help reduce school dropout and make sure say adolescent girls get better education wey match di United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4. So far, about 37,000 girls don dey part of di programme, and no one go collect less than ₦130,000.

Dr. Olohungbebe still talk say di government don stop PTA fees for all public primary schools because e don make many pikin drop school. E explain say government wan give every child second chance to learn, especially older youths wey miss school before, make dem fit return and secure dia future. E add say di mix of cash reward, removing school barriers, and second-chance learning go help Kwara close di education gap. According to am, “no girl for Kwara go dey left behind,” as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq dey push inclusive education plan to reach 2030 goal. Dis move follow after Kwara House of Assembly raise alarm say about 200,000 children still dey out of school. Di AGILE programme wey dey run for 18 states go help upgrade schools, train girls for digital skills, and give dem scholarship to better dia life and future.
