Over Eight Million Nigerians Don Do Pre-Online Registration – INEC

For one update wey dem release from Abuja, dem talk say 1.7 million people don complete their full registration, wey include online pre-registration and physical capture. For di nine weeks data, Imo State top di chart with 826,850 people wey register online, follow by Lagos wey get 604,619 and Ogun with 510,062. Yobe get di lowest with only 2,714. Registration for Anambra still dey suspended till after di Nov. 8 Governorship election, according to Electoral Act 2022. Women small pass men for registration with 52.37% female and 47.63% male, while youth aged 18 to 34 represent 69.14% of di total. Students na di biggest group with 25.23%, followed by business people at 20.74%. Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) also register well, making up 2.29%.

For week eight completed registration, INEC talk say over 1.7 million Nigerians don complete their registration process either online or physically. Out of this, 956,566 finish online, while 753,884 complete physical registration for centres. Youth aged 18–34 dominate again with 73.74% of total completed registrations. Females still lead with 55.27%. Students top occupational group again with 33.11%, followed by business people and housewives. Osun, Lagos and FCT lead states with most completed registrations, with Osun recording 151,593, FCT 106,855 and Lagos 85,831. INEC warn say final numbers fit change after data clean-up and use of Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS) to remove duplicate or invalid records.
