Oyo Govt And NUT Deny Say Students Beat Teacher Die

Oyo State Government and di Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Oyo chapter, don reject reports wey dey circulate online say students beat teacher for Ogbomoso die, call di story fake and distortion of events. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola; NUT Chairman, Comrade Raji Oladimeji; and Principal of Soun High School, Mr. Ajayi Adeyinka, yarn say di teacher, Mr. Adegoke Fatai Abiodun, no get anything to do with student beating. Di incident wey involve four students gambling happen on May 28, 2025, but di teacher die months later on November 4, 2025. Olayiwola yarn say Mr. Adegoke dislocated him arm while trying to discipline student, later seek treatment, and government hospital diagnose am with Stage 4 bone marrow cancer.

Principal Adeyinka confirm say di teacher die from complications of bone marrow cancer, no assault. School don discipline di students involved in di gambling. NUT Chairman Oladimeji condemn di fake report, say e cause unnecessary panic for education sector, and add say union only help raise about N2 million for teacher treatment. Oyo govt and education community don condole with family of deceased and urge public make dem caution with unverified news.
