Police: ‘Obi Of Lagos’ admit say the Installation na Fraud Scheme

On Thursday the Lagos State Police Command  talk say the self-declared “Obi Of Lagos”, Chibuike Azubike, admit say the plan to install na scam to con people wey no go suspect and people wey no sabi. The Command’s Deputy Public Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, talk this one for statement on Thursday. Dem earlier report say dem arrest the 65 years old Azubike while he dey show himself as the “Obi Of Lagos”.  Police carry am come on Wednesday with three other people as dem dey prepare illegal unveiling. Police talk say dem plan to show one prototype wey dem claim worth N1.5bn.

Oluseyi talk say when dem question Azubike, and e admit say their plan na to take money from people wey no go suspect. E also confess say e no be engineer like e talk before, na only person wey dey supply building things. “Investigation show say the main suspect, Chibuike Azubike, admit say e no be real engineer but e dey show like one. Dem also find out say the plan to open ‘Obi of Lagos Palace’ na scam to con important people and Nigerians out of their money,” Oluseyi talk.

E add say Azubike do am alone without any real chief permission. The suspect and him people go face court when investigation finish. Oluseyi beg Lagos people to no follow wrong information about the matter and make dem dey watch well well. “Police boss, CP Olohundare Jimoh, warn Lagos people make dem no fall for scammer like Azubike and him gang,” e talk. Until we write this report, our reporter never hear anything from Azubike as e still dey police custody. The arrest cause problem for social media as some people dey ask if e correct, others talk say to carry title without permission no be correct.
