National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) don start nationwide strike after government no gree meet their demands even after 24-hour ultimatum don pass. On September 1, NARD give government 10 days to hear their matter, but government no do anything, so dem extend deadline small to September 11. Last Thursday, NARD president Tope Osundara warn say if government no gree talk properly, doctors go begin strike. “Na mainly welfare matter, plus shortage of manpower for almost all hospital and health centre for Naija,” he talk. Their demands include, make government pay 2025 medical residency training fund (MRTF), clear 2024 accoutrement allowance arrears, plus five months outstanding arrears from salary review wey touch 25% and 35% consolidated medical salary.
