Di Administrator yarn dis one on Sunday, during one Inter-Denominational Church Thanksgiving Service wey dem hold for di Ecumenical Centre for Port Harcourt, ahead of di time when e go comot for office. Make una remember say President Tinubu bin declare State of Emergency for di State on March 18, because of di political kasala wey wan scatter governance. Di president, when e declare am, talk say di emergency rule go last for six months, and na him appoint Vice Admiral Ibas to run di State small time. During di church service wey happen yesterday, di administrator talk say na part of official events wey dem dey do to prepare for di state to return back to democratic government. Ibas talk say im administration “deliberately plant seeds of love and peace,” and e say na all Rivers people go need to join hand make di seeds grow well. E remember di wahala wey di state face before, talk say di state “scatter with division, instability, and broken trust” before President Tinubu enter matter. “By God’s grace, and with di support of Mr. President and all of una, we don waka pass those tough times together. Di survival and small-small peace wey we dey enjoy today na proof say God dey faithful,” na wetin Ibas talk.
As e dey talk to politicians, di Administrator tell dem make dem “drop their swords,” say no political win or personal gain worth di blood of any Rivers person. E talk say Rivers State progress and better life suppose dey on top personal or party matter, and say politics no suppose be excuse to destroy di state wey dem suppose dey serve. To di youth, di Administrator beg make dem no allow anybody use dem do violence, but make dem use their energy build peace and better state. E still call on community leaders, elders and religious people make dem continue dey give advice, wisdom and prayer for peace wey go last for Rivers State. “For dis Thanksgiving Day, I dey thank Baba God for im mercy well-well. I thank Mr President for di kind leadership and solid support wey no shake. I thank every Rivers man and woman wey don show patience, support and understanding for these six tough months. “We don plant seed of peace and reconciliation, but na all of una go help water am make e grow. Di sacrifice wey all of us don make and di way we take hold peace tight, na dat one we suppose guard well like gold. “Na God hold Rivers State strong. Na why we dey here do this Thanksgiving, to show say God no leave us. We don survive correct wahala, political gbege, social kata-kata, economic palava, but inside all the storm, God still show say na Him dey run things,” na wetin di Administrator talk. For im sermon, Chaplain of di Chapel of Everlasting Grace, Government House, Pastor Barasin Ogan, repeat wetin di Administrator talk about unity, e beg people make dem forget old wahala and join body to build better Rivers State.
