Olusegun Osinaike, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary for Education District II of Lagos State, on Friday, don tell schools inside the district make dem ensure say learning dey happen for safe environment. This one follow as schools for Lagos State don resume for the new academic session, 2025/2026. Osinaike, wey waka go monitor different schools under District II, talk say the aim na to make sure say students and teachers begin school work well without any problem. He tell teachers and students make dem focus on hard work, discipline and commitment. He say di koko of education na to get better results for key exams like BECE, WAEC, and NECO. According to am, if schools continue to put in serious effort and use better teaching method, dem go pass their old results and break new records for academic performance. Di permanent secretary come remind schools say Lagos State government no dey tolerate any form of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) at all. He talk say schools suppose be more than just places wey pikin dey learn book, dem suppose also be safe space wey go help train students to become better citizens.

Osinaike still talk say to stop SGBV for schools, and even for the wider community, na important step if we wan create space wey go allow every pikin grow and succeed, just as e dey inside Governor Sanwo-Olu THEMES Plus Agenda. He assure say Education District II go continue to pursue academic excellence, discipline and moral values, and dem go work with parents, teachers and community people to raise students wey go fit compete for anywhere in the world.

  • Ikosi Senior and Junior High Schools
  • Ayedere Ajibola Junior and Senior Schools
  • Lajo Community Junior and Senior Secondary Schools
  • Eva Adelaja Junior and Senior Girls’ Grammar Schools
  • Keme Balogun Senior College
  • Kosofe Senior and Junior College, among others.

He also tell parents make dem support wetin teachers dey do for school by giving their children proper guidance and care at home, as parental support still be key to student success. Osinaike talk say District II go continue to use monitoring and evaluation to check how schools dey perform, find out wetin need to improve, and quickly fix any issue wey fit disturb learning. He hail school principals and teachers for their commitment, say despite challenges, dem still dey give their best for the sake of education for Lagos State. He encourage dem make dem no lose focus and make dem continue to dey find creative ways to teach, because everybody need to join hand if we wan maintain excellence for Lagos education system.
