“LASG, UNILAG VC Warn Students Make Dem Use Internet Responsibly”

Lagos State Government and di Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos don stress di need for secondary school students to use internet responsibly, safely and confidently, especially when dem dey do academic research online. Dem give di advice for Lagos during di Child Online Safety Protection and Reporting of Abuse (COSPRA Summit) wey Ndukwe Kalu Foundation (NKF) organise. Di Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, represented by Mr. Solahudeen Qasim Oyekunle from di Ministry, talk say as technology dey evolve, students suppose ignore di negative vices wey dey come with am and focus on di positive side of internet use for dia studies.

Di UNILAG Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola, represented by Prof. Adebayo Ladipo, advise students from different secondary schools wey attend di summit to stay vigilant anytime dem dey browse. She warn dem make dem avoid negative sites and no engage in online conversations with people wey fit mislead dem. She add say students need to protect themselves and use di internet as a tool for learning, not distraction.
