Uruguay don appoint former striker Diego Forlan as interim coach of dia national team after Marcelo Bielsa comot following di team poor performance for di 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Uruguay Football Association announce say Forlan go take charge after di two-time world champions fail to pass group stage.
Bielsa tenure end after Uruguay finish third for dia group with just two points behind Spain, Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia.
Forlan, wey be 47 years old, sign deal wey go keep am as coach till March 2027 before di football authorities decide whether to continue with am or bring new manager.
