Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday call for stronger community security and tougher punishment for people wey dey destroy gornment property across di state.
Di lawmakers ask gornment to support and equip Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps and other local security groups to stop vandalism of roads, bridges and other public facilities.
Moshood Aro, wey represent Ikorodu II, say vandals dey put extra burden on taxpayers because government must spend money again to repair damaged infrastructure.
Speaker Mudashiru Obasa support di call and say people wey buy or sell stolen government property should also face prosecution.
