Japan PM Reject Putin Visit To Disputed Kuril Islands

Japan Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi don reject Russian President Vladimir Putin visit to disputed Kuril Islands, calling di move “absolutely unacceptable”.
Russian state media report say Putin visit Iturup Island, wey Japan dey call Etorofu, on Thursday, one of four islands wey Russia and Japan dey claim.
Takaichi say di visit dey hurt Japanese people feelings and no agree with Japan position on di Northern Territories, while Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi say di islands na Japanese territory.
Russia and Japan don dey fight over ownership of di islands for decades, and di dispute na one major reason why both countries never sign peace treaty after World War Two.
