Heavy Rain Kill 9 Miners After Water Flood Bauchi Mining Pit

At least nine miners don die after heavy rain flood one mining pit for Zurfi Mining Company, Nahuta village, Gwana District for Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reveal dis one for X, say di incident happen around 9:45pm on September 26, 2026, while contracted miners dey work for Pit 3 of di mining site.
Di heavy rain cause water to enter di pit and trap several workers underground.
According to Bauchi State Police Command, one of di miners, wey dem identify as Abner, reportedly die after electric shock during di incident.
