Bandits Carry Away 24 Farmers For New Niger Attack

Bandits don launch another deadly attack for Palaita community, Erena Ward, Shiroro Local Government Area for Niger State, as dem carry away 24 people, including pregnant women, from one rice farm. Source wey dey di community talk say di attackers strike about 2:00pm on Wednesday while residents dey harvest dia crops. Even though Palaita dey only five kilometres from military base for Erena, di bandits manage escape with di victims before security personnel fit respond. Earlier dat same day, another group of armed men invade Kakuru community, still for Erena Ward, wey dem brutalise one blind man and cut off im right hand after dem collect mobile phone from am.

Di attackers reach Kakuru about 8:00am and meet only di blind man for house as other residents don go dia farms. Di man explain say di phone no be im, e belong to neighbour wey don waka go farm. Di bandits vex, take di phone and chop off im right hand. E dey receive first aid for patent medicine shop for Kuduru community. Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, confirm say effort dey on to rescue di victims. E talk, “On November 26, 2025, about 8pm, report show say suspected armed men don abduct about ten persons from Angwan-Kawo and Kuchipa villages of Shiroro LGA. Effort dey to rescue dem.” Di attack happen just one week after gunmen don abduct over 300 students and teachers from St. Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, as northern states dey face serious security crisis with frequent kidnappings for ransom.
