Make una remember say Dangote Refinery don already put about 1,000 CNG-powered trucks to begin distribute fuel nationwide. Even though dem talk say dem go start gradually, marketers don start to receive fuel free, as the refinery bin talk before. If this thing happen, e go mean say petrol fit sell as high as ₦950 per litre, and diesel fit reach ₦1,090 per litre for some areas. Dangote talk say even though dem dey sell directly to marketers from their depot at normal price, DAPPMAN wan use coastal logistics (ship transport), wey go add extra ₦75 per litre. With the current fuel demand, 40 million litres of petrol and 15 million litres of diesel daily, this one go cost Nigerians extra ₦1.5 trillion per year, wey dem wan make Dangote cover. Refinery talk say, “We no get plan to increase our gantry price or pay subsidy of over ₦1.5 trillion. That subsidy style na wetin don fraud government for many years. Marketers fit carry fuel directly from our depot without stress or extra logistics cost.” Dem talk say na because dem no gree accept this DAPPMAN subsidy request na why dem dey face public attack and wahala. Dem still emphasize say Dangote Refinery get enough fuel for Nigeria and for export, and every month, dem dey maintain 500 million litres stock for their tanks. “From June to September, we don export 3.2 million metric tonnes of petrol, diesel and aviation fuel. Marketers import 3.6 million metric tonnes during that same period, and we see that as dumping, wey no good for Nigerian economy,” the refinery talk.
Dangote Refinery still support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reform agenda, and say dem don help stabilize Naira, reduce fuel problem, boost foreign exchange, and create work for plenty sectors. “We get strong relationship with government agencies and we go continue to support dem.
