Nnamdi Kanu, di detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), don ask Federal High Court Abuja make dem pause di judgment wey suppose fall on November 20 for im terrorism trial. For fresh motion wey e file on November 10 and sign personally, Kanu talk say di trial dey happen under law wey dem don repeal and no dey again. E yarn say di case dey violate Supreme Court directives plus Sections 1(3), 36(1)–(12) and 42 of 1999 Constitution, and Articles 7 and 26 of African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Kanu insist say Count 15 (now Count 7) no dey exist in law, and as di court fail recognize di repeal of 2013 Terrorism (Prevention) Amendment Act, all di proceedings since then supposed be null and void.

Kanu, wey don fire im lawyers and dey represent himself, claim say dem mislead am to plea under non-existent law in violation of Section 220 of ACJA 2015. E talk say di use of forged material for di case na constructive denial of fair hearing under Section 36(6) of Constitution, and e beg di court to set aside all rulings and proceedings presided over by Justice Omotosho. Kanu dey face seven terrorism charges (FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015) wey FG bring against am, including say e lead separatist movement wey wan cut parts of South-East, South-South, Kogi, and Benue from Nigeria, plus inciting violence through broadcasts and illegal radio transmitter importation. Kanu don plead not guilty, refuse to open defence despite getting six days, and di court don fix date for judgment.
