Lagos Assembly Agree To Committee Report On Makoko, River Community  Demolitions

Lagos State House of Assembly  don accept di sugestion wey dia Committee on Rules and Business give about di demolitions wey hapun for Makoko, an oda areas.

Chairmo of di Committee, Hon. Noheem Adams,  say di demolitions don displace plenty people, including elderly, sick, women, and children, and destroy their homes and properties.

Im explain say di Committee come to dis conclusion after five meetings with di affected people and government officials, plus an oversight visit, based on say di communities depend on fishing and di demolitions don spoil living conditions, create health, safety, and environmental wahala.

Say based on dia findings, di Committee recommend say Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu make Im direct Special Adviser on E-GIS to check di various  housing packages wey di communities submit.
