Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO) on Monday, September 8, 2025, don seal EMCEL Court Phase I and Well Stock Apartments, both wey dey Lantana Avenue, Ikota GRA, Eti-Osa, as dem dey pour dirty water into public gutter illegally and the environment. The announcement land through one post wey the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, share for him official X account on Monday. He explain say the enforcement action happen after dem discover say the buildings dey deliberately discharge untreated wastewater, wey don turn public nuisance, dey spoil the environment and even dey threaten human life. “The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), on Monday, 8th September, 2025, seal off EMCEL Court- Phase I, and Well Stock Apartments, both on Lantana Avenue, Ikota GRA, Eti-Osa, Lagos for deliberate discharge of wastewater into public drains and the environment thereby causing public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life,” Wahab talk.

Likewise, for September 2024, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) seal many places like Vital Products Limited, A & P Nigeria Limited, Polite Anchorage and Suites, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Terrag Inn Apartment, Evening Class Guest House, Celestial Church of God, one printing press, Charley’s Bar and 7th Heaven Hotel & Suites. The government no stop for only houses and companies. Markets like Mile 12, Ladipo and Oyingbo too chop temporary closure until dem meet sanitation requirement. Even fast food places, restaurants and hotels don face government wahala for pouring waste into public gutter.
