Lagos State Government don announce say dem go start road work for Lekki-Ajah corridor from Saturday, November 15, 2025, go run till Wednesday, July 15, 2026, na total of eight months. Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, talk say di project dey aim to improve road quality and make traffic flow better for one of di state busiest roads. Di rehabilitation go happen in two phases to reduce wahala for commuters and businesses, and preliminary work don already start. For Phase 1, di work go cover seven sections of di expressway, with one lane closed at a time while motorists use di other lane. Commissioner assure say people wey dey go Lekki or Ajah still go fit waka through di corridor during dis first phase.
For Phase 2, wey go cover Lekki 2nd Toll Gate to Ajah Under-Bridge, di work go focus on four sections, again with lane diversion to maintain movement. Motorists from Ajah go use one lane while di other lane dey repair, and when di first lane don finish, work go shift to di second lane. Lagos State Government beg residents and road users to show patience and follow traffic direction, because di short-term wahala go bring long-term benefits. Osiyemi talk say di work dey part of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu plan for sustainable urban mobility and infrastructural renewal, and commuters gatz plan dia journey well and obey all traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement. Earlier for September, government don start similar rehab for Eti-Osa/Lekki/Epe Expressway, from Admiralty Way Junction to Jubilee Bridge (Ajah).
