Lagos State Government don talk say dem need to put better investment for safe, inclusive and well-regulated nightlife zones to take boost the city reputation as one of di top nightlife destinations for di world. Di Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Ope George, talk dis one during hin presentation for di 2026 Budget Consultative Forum, afta Time Out magazine rank Lagos as 14th best city for nightlife worldwide and second best for Africa. Di consultative forum na community engagement process wey happen across di five IBILE divisions of Lagos for Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island and Epe. E start on September 9, 2025, for Ikeja Division and end on September 16 for Badagry Division, wey dem hold for Aderemi Makanjuola Auditorium inside Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo.

George talk say di ranking show say both global and local people dey acknowledge Lagos nightlife, as 79 percent of residents support am. But to keep that position, he say di state need to invest with sense.
