Di judge yarn dis one after Kanu, wey be di leader of di banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), still no gree defend himself even after di prosecution don close dia case and di court don throway him no-case submission. Justice Omotosho talk say if Kanu no open im defence on November 5, e go mean say e don forfeit im right to defend himself. Earlier on October 27, di matter don already adjourn go November 4 make Kanu file im final written address or open him defence.

For court, Kanu talk say e no file any final written address but e don file motion with affidavit. E claim say no valid charge dey against am under any Nigerian law, so e no see reason to defend imself. Kanu even talk say he no go return to detention and demand make dem release am immediately. But prosecuting lawyer, Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), talk say di documents wey Kanu submit no correct and accuse am of trying to waste di court time. Awomolo beg di court make dem treat Kanu’s document as im final address and fix judgment date. Justice Omotosho later rule say di papers wey Kanu file dey okay and go count when judgment reach, but since Kanu no be lawyer, make e get time to consult one. Di judge come adjourn di case till November 5 for Kanu to defend himself or lose di right permanently.
