Her arrest come shortly after di command don warn residents about di rise of online fraud, including fake dating sites, travel and visa scam, wey dem use take collect money from innocent people. For statement wey come out on Tuesday, di Police PRO, CSP Omolola Odutola, talk say di victims believe say dem visas don approve after dem do biometric verification wey di suspect tell dem to do. But when dem carry di so-called approval letters go Visa Facilitation Service office for Lagos, na there dem find out say all di papers na fake. Odutola still talk say di woman don confess after interrogation, and investigation show say she don dey run fraudulent migration scheme to catch people wey dey desperate to travel find work abroad.
Di Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, don order discreet investigation into di matter and warn di public make dem shine dia eyes well. E caution young people especially make dem check any travel offer well before dem fall for scam, and make dem confirm any information from official government channel, not from touts or fake agents. Despite police warning and many victims don fall before, plenty Nigerians still dey fall mugu for fake travel and visa agents.
