Di collapse of Calabar-Itu highway don cause total wahala for commuters, motorists, and truck drivers as dem don stranded for days. For three days straight, parts of di road don dey impassable, forcing travellers to either turn back or spend long hours, sometimes nights, for road. People wey manage pass talk say di journey dey very tiring and stressful, full of delays, fatigue, and money wahala. Commuters don dey expect serious hold-up anytime dem travel. Uwem Isaiah, wey waka go Akwa Ibom for friend wedding, talk say e gats remain there till Monday, and e return trip still heavy. E yarn, “I leave Akwa Ibom 9:00 a.m., reach Calabar 9:00 p.m. Twelve hours. Wetin suppose be less than two hours now dey take many hours, with no sure time of arrival. At one point, we jam deadlock.
