Yelwata: Nothing Don Change Since Tinubu Visit Benue – Tiv Leader Talk

The president of Mzough U Tiv UK (MUTUK), Victor Aleva, don talk say up till now, nobody don make any effort to rebuild Yelwata community for Benue State after the deadly attack by herdsmen wey happen for June, wey claim over 200 lives. President Tinubu don visit Benue that time after the fresh killings wey leave many people dead, injure plenty, and scatter others commot from their homes.

But months after the visit, Aleva still insist say Yelwata still dey in total ruins. Aleva talk this one on Wednesday for Channels Television programme, Sunrise Daily. E say, “I go Yelewata last week Saturday and I see things with my own eye. E pain me well well. E no be to dey play to gallery or just dey talk politics. As I dey talk to you now, nothing don change.” He still add, “I tell una before for one interview say nothing good go come out from the president visit to Benue. Na pure politics, nothing dey happen for Yelewata. I get video evidence, I interview locals, I go there live with my people.” Tinubu bin order service chiefs and Inspector General of Police (IGP) make dem arrest those wey do the wicked attack, and IGP Kayode Egbetokun later announce say dem don arrest 26 people wey dem suspect say get hand for the killings. But Aleva say na lie. “Una know say na lie. Because after the president go there, e blast the IGP and less than 48 hours later, dem parade some people. Where dem dey now? That attack happen June 13th and 14th, now wey don pass two months, where the people?” He also talk say the attack no be herder-farmer fight, say na planned work to wipe out the people for that village. He say the people dey expect make president order rebuild of the community, not to dey act for show.
