21 Countries Don Condemn Israel Over New West Bank Settlement Plan

Twenty-one countries, including Britain and France, don condemn Israel because e approve big settlement project for West Bank. Dem talk say the plan no make sense and e dey go against international law. Dem believe say this kind move no suppose happen and e fit cause wahala for the region. Yesterday, Israeli military talk say dem don start move to capture Gaza City, wey be last big stronghold of Hamas. This one come after Defense Minister Israel Katz approve make dem take full control of the city. Dem dey push serious to get the whole place under their hand. Israel plan to build about 3,400 houses for one very sensitive land wey dey between Jerusalem and the Israeli settlement called Maale Adumim for West Bank. All the settlements Israel don put for West Bank since 1967, no matter if Israel approve dem or not, international law consider am illegal. Twenty-one countries, including Britain, France, Australia, Canada, Italy, and many European countries condemn this move strongly. Their foreign ministers talk say the plan go spoil any chance of two-state solution because e go divide any future Palestinian state and block Palestinians from getting to Jerusalem. Dem talk say the plan no go help Israel people, but e fit make security worse and bring more violence. Dem beg Israel government make dem cancel the plan quick-quick. Palestinian Authority for Ramallah and even UN chief Antonio Guterres also condemn the settlement project. Britain even call Israeli ambassador to protest the plan, saying if dem go carry out this plan, e go break international law and make the chance for two-state solution almost impossible. Meanwhile, Israel don start serious military operation for Gaza City after Defense Minister Israel Katz approve full takeover of the city. Israel military say dem don begin to hold the outskirts of Gaza City already and call-up about 60,000 reservists to support the offensive. Dem talk say phase two of operation “Gideon’s Chariots” don start, and the call-up for reservists go begin for early September. This move dey worry people because e fit make the humanitarian crisis for Gaza worse. At the same time, Israel dey do diplomatic fight against some Western allies wey wan recognize Palestinian state soon, even as dem still approve the controversial settlement plan for occupied West Bank. This action dey cause serious concern for the international community, because e fit ruin the chance for peace and a future Palestinian state.
