Breaking: Protesters Block Third Mainland Bridge, Police Don Show Face

Landlords and tenants wey dey live for Oworonshoki area of Lagos State don block Third Mainland Bridge to protest the continuous demolition of their houses by government. The protest cause serious traffic holdup for more than one hour as vehicles wey dey go Oworonshoki side no fit move at all. Policemen come later block the popular Iyana-Oworo Berger bus stop, and everywhere come dry, no passengers, no vehicles. Na plenty police and other security people later come scatter the crowd of protesters wey block road and no allow cars pass.

The whole problem start early Saturday morning after Lagos State Government enforcement team begin demolish all the houses wey dey along Iyana-Oworonshoki coastal line. The demolition displace both landlords and tenants, as people wey get property and people wey dey stay for the area no get where to go again. The matter don cause serious tension for the community as residents dey cry say dem no get notice and say the demolition harsh well well.
