NPA Don Plan To End Truck Diversion for Lagos Port

As part of ongoing efforts to make work dey easier and traffic management better for Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) don put Electronic Barrier Systems for all Terminal access points inside the Port. The General Manager for Corporate & Strategic Communications for NPA, Ikechukwu Onyemekara talk say, dis move come after dem do plenty talks with important people to solve the issue of unauthorised truck diversion wey dey affect Terminal work, traffic movement, and port business. To make sure say truck movement dey well coordinated and clear, the Electronic Barriers don join well well with the Eto Electronic Call-Up System wey Trucks Transit Parks Ltd (TTP) dey manage. Onyemekara talk say dis combination go make sure say only trucks wey get correct Eto call-up tickets go fit enter Terminal, so dat unauthorized trucks no go fit enter and gate control go dey better. “We happy to talk say from Monday, 1st September 2025, all Terminals for Lagos Port Complex go start full live work with the Integrated Electronic Barrier System.

Dis step, Onyemekara talk say, na big progress for how the Authority dey try bring automation and modernisation for port work for Nigeria.
