Oyedele, wey be Chairman of di Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, talk dis one during one engagement session for Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Lagos. Di tax expert talk say: If person dey do runs girl (sex work), wey mean say dem dey find men to sleep with, you suppose know say na service be dat. Dem go pay tax on top am. According to am, di new law no dey look whether di money wey you dey make na from legit work or illegal hustle. He explain say: E go just ask you, ‘You get income? Na from service or you sell something?  If yes, then you go pay tax.

 As he explain further, Oyedele talk say any money wey person send give relatives, friends or even strangers no go collect tax, because dem see am as gift. He talk say: You fit earn one kind amount of money and decide say you wan send upkeep to your cousin, your brother, or even one stranger e no really matter. If di money wey you dey send na because you just wan give dem and no be say dem do anything for you, then e be gift. We dey call am non-exchange transaction. That one no dey taxable.
