Dem do di action because di people break di Commission Law of 2011. Officials from di agency wey DG Mr. Lanre Mojola lead, talk say dem close di places after di people wey run di factory no gree follow di safety wey dem agree on, even after warning and grace period.

He talk say commission officials first inspect di factories and hold meeting with di chemical dealers oga dem, and na that May 9 dem sign agreement. For di meeting, Di people gree say dem go do: full safety audit for di market, organise workshop on how to identify danger and manage risk, provide well-serviced fire extinguisher for every shop, keep chemical inventory with expiry date, make sure workers dey use protective gear (PPE), put correct safety signs and labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS); plus make emergency plan for disaster and business continue. But after ultimatum finish, di dealers no do anything wey dem gree for. Mojola say the commission no get choice than to lock the place to protect life and property. He talk say di places go remain locked till dem obey all safety laws. He warn say dem no go play when e reach safety matter.
