Lagos Don Announce Say Dem Go Close Marine Bridge For 15 Days For Maintenance Repair

Apapa Local Government Area, for 15 days to allow important maintenance work. Di announcement dey inside statement wey dem post for di official X account of Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Oluwaseun Osiyemi. Dem advise motorists to plan well and exercise patience as di Federal Ministry of Works, in partnership with Lagos State, go carry out repair work for di bridge. Di maintenance go happen in two phases — Phase I go run from Saturday, 11th October to Saturday, 18th October 2025, and e go cover from di foot of Marine Bridge along Lawani Oguntayo Road near UBA, go Apapa and Costain side. During this time, people wey dey go from Ijora Olopa to Apapa go pass Ijora Causeway Ramp near Omni Retail, reach Ijora 7up, then turn left onto Lilypond Ramp to continue journey.

Phase II go happen from Sunday, 19th October to Saturday, 25th October 2025, and e go focus on area between Ijora Badia and Lilypond Ramp, enter Apapa side. For this period, motorists from Ijora Olopa to Apapa and Costain go enter contraflow traffic about 50 meters before work zone, then return to normal road after 500 meters. People wey dey travel from Apapa go Costain, Lagos Island, or Ijora Olopa go still dey pass but dem go use same contraflow arrangement. Lagosians dey also advised to prepare for traffic changes as other road repairs go happen at di same time. Adeniji Adele Interchange to CMS corridor go face six-week repair from Sunday, 12th October 2025, and work go dey daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Only one lane go dey closed at a time to reduce traffic wahala.
