Relocation: Computer Village Traders Dey Demand Fairness

Lagos State Government don give Computer Village traders for Ikeja 18 months to comot go new permanent market for Katangowa, Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA. Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development Permanent Secretary, Gbolahan Oki, talk say government don ready with better infrastructure and facilities for new site to make sure business go dey easy after relocation. E explain say Computer Village land originally na residential but dem convert am to market without government approval. Oki talk say government dey serious and want traders make dem cooperate to make relocation happen. E also mention say relocation plan don dey since 2006 but delay happen because new site no finish on time. Governor Sanwo-Olu dey committed to welfare and better infrastructure for Lagosians, so government wan give traders structured market wey go support growth and fix environment wahala.

But some traders no too trust government new plan, dem dey demand clear terms and conditions before dem move. CAPDAN president, Ahmed Ojikutu, talk say market leaders dey try unite traders to make sure everybody benefit, but dem no go move if terms no clear or fair. One trader, wey no want make people know im name, talk say dis kind relocation talk don dey since Tinubu government, but government and contractors no fulfil promises. Dem want direct land allocation so traders fit control development by themselves, no dey rely on contractors wey politics fit affect. Traders still dey complain say government dey give political excuses like fire safety and congestion to cover wet ground like Abule-Egba wey still waterlogged. Contractor wey government engage before dey court with government over contract wahala. Traders worry say without proper paper and transparency, relocation fit turn to another empty promise. Besides CAPDAN, traders dey resist new leadership of Iyaloja Abisola Azeez and Baba Oja Adeniyi Olasoji wey government put.
