Tomato traders for Lagos don raise alarm say di wahala wey dem dey face don make tomato price waka go up. According to reports, many of dem blame di hike on poor storage, police wahala for road, insecurity for North, and transport stress. One trader talk say him stop to dey import tomatoes from Ghana because checkpoint full everywhere  “every checkpoint na money,” he talk. Mr Saidu Idrisu wey dey sell for FESTAC talk say dem no get better storage, and say tomatoes dey spoil sharp-sharp, so e no fit buy plenty again. Another trader, Mr Mohammed Gambari, say drivers fear to bring tomatoes from North because bandits dey attack trucks and thief everything.

Residents like Mrs Titi Alabi from Amuwo-Odofin say di price hike don affect her family well-well, say she dey buy half crate now instead of full. She beg government make dem do something about fuel wahala and insecurity. Mrs Ijeoma Okeke sef talk say stew don cost so she don switch go “concoction rice” to cut cost. Di traders beg say make government help them with better storage and secure roads so tomato go dey cheaper for everybody.
