Di report quote DCI say: “Three Nigerian nationals nabbed in Kirinyaga multi-agency raid. Well-coordinated raid for Mwaliko Estate, Mwea town don blow lid off suspected cyber fraud ring run by three Nigerian nationals.” Di suspects wey claim say dem dey run online business no get valid work permit and dey live for Kenya illegally. Di arrest follow pattern wey Nigerians dey apprehend abroad for crime like cyber fraud, drug trafficking and human trafficking. DCI talk say di men, aged 19–33, dey use social media (Facebook) to scam Kenyans, promise dem goodies to be delivered through DHL from airport before swindling dem.
