Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, don raise alarm say Federal High Court for Abuja refuse to issue production warrant wey go make prison authorities carry Kanu come court for settlement of records for appeal wey e file before im dey sentenced to life imprisonment on November 20, 2025. Ejimakor talk say di summons don schedule Kanu make e appear for November 28, but without di production warrant from Sokoto Prison, Kanu no fit physically dey court, wey fit affect im right to fair hearing and due process. Ejimakor post di matter for im X account, attach copy of summons, and express shock say court no grant di mandatory order wey go allow Kanu dey court.

Ejimakor still warn say di move of Kanu go Sokoto prison, wey dey hundreds of kilometres from Abuja, dey put im right to appeal for risk, because e no go fit access court and legal support well. E talk say facilities closer to Abuja like Suleja and Keffi fit don help Kanu maintain access to lawyers and family. Kanu dey serve sentence after im conviction for seven terrorism-related counts by Justice James Omotosho, but before dis, im dey DSS custody since June 2021 after im controversial arrest and extradition from Kenya. Court of Appeal discharge am of all charges in October 2022, but Nigerian Government appeal and secure stay of execution wey make e still dey custody.
