Iran don hold big send-off ceremony on Wednesday for dia national football team as dem dey prepare go play for 2026 World Cup wey go happen for USA, Mexico and Canada.

Players wear red and black tracksuit as plenty fans gather for Enghelab Square for Tehran dey cheer dem, while coach Amir Ghalenoei and football federation president Mehdi Taj join the event.

According to Taj, the team go represent Iran, dia fighters and leadership, as he describe dem as “wartime national team” and symbol of resistance.

Iran go camp for Tucson, Arizona during di tournament, and dem go face New Zealand, Belgium and Egypt for Group G before opening dia campaign against New Zealand for Los Angeles on June 15.
