House of Representatives on Thursday for Abuja don approve di State Police Constitution Amendment Bill.

But dis one na after beta jogolo from some members of di minority caucus wey dey protest say di bill need beta okporlor eyes to look am wella.

However, Deputy Speaker and Chairman of House Committee on Constitution Review, Benjamin Kalu, sti press hand for di bill, say di bill na one of di biggest security reforms for Nigeria, and e thank President Bola Tinubu for sending am to National Assembly.

Di bill pass after e get di constitutionally required two-thirds majority vote as part of gornment plan to decentralise policing and tackle insecurity across di country.

If Senate, at least two-thirds of di 36 State Houses of Assembly and President Tinubu approve am, Nigeria go get legal backing to create State Police.
