Lagos State Govo Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged human resource executives to prepare workers for an AI-driven economy during di Special Human Resource Forum 2026 for Lagos, saying traditional workforce management no longer fit di changing labour market.
Sanwo-Olu said HR managers must understand di skills workers need and where di future of work dey go, so Lagos fit position itself as a technology and human capital hub.
Im call on corporate talent managers to work closely with government during di forum to align workforce planning with Lagos’ development plans and prepare workers for rapid technological changes.
Di govo warning come as businesses across Africa dey face di challenge of using AI to improve productivity while preventing unemployment and skills mismatch.
