Police Arrest Woman Over Alleged Baby Theft In Kebbi

Kebbi State Police don arrest Khadija on August 14, 2026, after she allegedly carry another woman newborn baby run away and present di baby to her husband as her own.
Police say Khadija allegedly deceive her husband for about nine months say she dey pregnant, after she face pressure over her inability to have a child.
Di suspect allegedly use opportunity to take di newborn after she was sent to fetch water, as police later recover di baby and reunite am with di biological mother.
Police say Khadija still dey custody and go face court after investigation, while Kebbi Police Commissioner CP Umar Hadejia commend di officers for dia work.
