Angry Mob Beat Young Woman Wey Dem Accuse Say She Thief 2-Year-Old Pikin For FCT

Di woman, wey her name never clear, bin dey with one crying pikin by di roadside around 5:12pm on Saturday, October 11, when one passerby notice say di pikin respond when him name dey called. Di man come suspect something fishy and start to question di woman, especially after she rush carry di pikin for back and cover am with wrapper. Na that moment alarm burst, and youth dem rush come begin beat her seriously, almost naked her. Some people even talk say dem first see her dey make call and try stop motor before yawa gas.

One resident, Danlami Habila, say di child mama later show for scene after neighbors recognize di pikin and alert her. Di pikin bin dey taken from di woman, but di mob still continue to beat her until elders rush come scatter di beating and hand her over to police. Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirm say officers from Tungan Maje Division rescue di woman quick before di matter turn worse. She say investigation don start to know whether na true say she wan thief pikin. But she also warn say anybody wey join hand for mob justice go face law because jungle justice dey spoil di work wey police dey do to maintain peace and law for FCT.
