ASUU Strike: Naija Lecturers Dey Yan With FG, Dem Show Better Progress

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) don yan say dem don kickstart negotiation with di federal government over di ongoing strike wey don paralyze activities for public universities. Di union reveal this one for Strike Bulletin No. 2, wey National Strike Coordinating Committee (NSCC) drop and Dr Christopher Piwuna sign over di weekend. Na after dem announce two-week warning strike last week Monday, wey make schools across Naija public universities shutdown.

For di latest update, ASUU talk say dia members dey united and dey stand gidigba for di struggle. Dem talk say progress don dey for some key areas, like release of third-party deductions, payment of promotion arrears, mainstreaming of Earned Academic Allowances (EAA), plus matter wey concern University of Abuja land wey dem seize. Dem still dey tackle cases of victimisation of members for Kogi State University (KSU), Lagos State University (LASU), and Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). ASUU talk say, “Our members don show better commitment to di struggle. Make we still hold body tight and remain united for di days wey remain.”
