Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, don deny report wey talk say dem put N1 billion for 2026 budget make dem buy only musical instruments for churches for Bende Federal Constituency, Abia State.

For statement wey Chief Press Secretary Levinus Nwabughiogu release on Wednesday, di office tuk say di report no correct and e twist wetin di money go do.

According to di statement, di actual allocation na N780 million after VAT and oda tax deductions, and di money go fund youth re-orientation and social support programme through faith-based organisations for Bende.

Di office explain say Bende get 13 electoral wards and more than 200 churches, while di first phase of di programme go cover 130 churches, about 10 churches for each ward.
