Federal Government don announce say dem go increase the fees wey Nigerians dey pay to get passport. The new prices go start from September 1, 2024. Na wetin the spokesman for Nigeria Immigration Service, A.S. Akinlabi, talk for one statement wey e release on Thursday.

Akinlabi talk say the new increase na to make sure say the Nigerian Standard Passport wey go start from September 1, 2025, get better quality and integrity. He talk say, “The new fees wey go affect passport applications wey Nigerians dey do for inside Nigeria now don set the price for 32-page passport wey go last 5 years to N100,000, and 64-page passport wey go last 10 years to N200,000”. But he clear say, for Nigerians wey dey abroad, their passport fees no change. E remain $150 for 32-page passport wey go last 5 years and $230 for 64-page passport wey go last 10 years. Nigeria Immigration Service still talk say dem dey committed to give better service but still want make passport service easy for all Nigerians to access.
