FG To Ban Unrated Textbooks For Schools From September 2026

Federal Government of Naija don announce say dem go introduce National Textbook Ranking System for primary, junior and senior secondary schools to improve education standard for Naija.

Director of Press for Ministry of Education, Folasade Boriowo, naim dey tuk dis one for statement on Sunday, say, di plan na to stop bad textbooks from entering classrooms.

She explain say Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council go dey in charge of approving textbooks, while dem go rank all approved books to choose di best ones for each subject and class level.

Say dis system go hellep ensure say only correct, standard and curriculum-based textbooks reach students, to improve learning across schools nationwide.
