Fubara Impeachment Wahala – ALDRAP Storm Rivers High Court

Association of Legislative Drafting and Advocacy Practitioners (ALDRAP) don carry serious marras go Rivers State High Court, beg make dem sharply stop Rivers State House of Assembly from continuing di impeachment wey dem start against Govnor Sim Fubara.

For di suit wey dem file on February 10 with number RHC/427/CS/2026 through lawyer S. O. Abang, dem drag plenty big names join including di Attorney-General, Speaker Martins Amaehule, some lawmakers, DSS and INEC  and tell court make nobody set up any impeachment panel for now.

ALDRAP talk say di January 8 impeachment notice get serious yawa, e no show clear misconduct, e rely on marras wey Supreme Court don already judge, and e even wrongly describe di govo, so e no meet di constitutional standard for gross misconduct.

Dem still ask court make e cancel di notice completely, investigate di Speaker and 25 lawmakers over alleged security issue, stop INEC from recognizing some APC candidates for bye-election, and warn say if dem allow dis impeachment continue, e fit scatter Rivers politics  and up till now, court never fix date to hear di case.
