IGP Disu Beg Nigerians Make Dem Stop Recording Police

Di Inspector-General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, don warn Nigerians make dem stop to record police officers while dem dey work and turning dem to skit content, saying e dey discourage officers.

Disu talk dis for press conference for Abuja, saying police officers need full concentration to do dia work, even as e acknowledge say Nigerians get constitutional right to record officers wey dey perform public duties for public places.

E refer to recent Federal High Court judgment for Warri wey say police no fit arrest, harass, intimidate anybody or seize dia phone simply because dem dey record police activity in public.

But di IGP say Nigerians suppose show concern and no turn every police officer wey dem see into content, especially officers wey dey work for dangerous places, forests and highways to keep people safe.
