Lagos Don Give NUPENG Deadline On Lekki E-Call Up Compliance

Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, don give Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) firm November 10 deadline to comply with Lekki e-call up system after important meeting for Alausa over persistent violations of di platform. For di meeting wey hold for Ministry of Transportation conference room, Ikeja, Osiyemi express strong displeasure say some tanker operators dey disregard online booking process. Di breaches dey encourage cash collections and unchecked parking of trucks along Lekki-Epe corridor, wey dey cause congestion and reduce efficiency of traffic management system wey Lagos state don put in place.

Osiyemi yarn say e-call up system require every truck to get validation and clearance before e fit move to designated parks, and di process straightforward, no room for shortcut. Im warn say state government go start enforcement if NUPENG members no comply before November 10. NUPENG officials talk say dem go sensitize members immediately and ensure full compliance, and dem go also address other operational issues wey ministry raise. Senior officials of e-call up system and management staff of Ministry of Transportation also dey present for di meeting.
