Lagos Don Start Tejuosho Market Clearance

Lagos State goment, through di Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, yesterday begin clearance of Tejuosho Market for Yaba, Lagos. Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, talk say public spaces suppose remain orderly, safe and free from obstruction, and di ministry go continue to enforce law and ensure compliance with environmental regulations across Lagos. Head of Public Affairs and Advocacy Unit for Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC/KAI), Ajayi Lukman, yarn say dem receive petitions against di traders three months ago and engage dem many times to comot road but all di engagements no yield fruit. E add say di traders leave dia shops go occupy walkways and setbacks, close two lanes leave one for motorists, and turn di whole road to market.

Di Corps Marshal, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (rtd), yarn say residents must join hand make Lagos habitable and clean for business by monitoring dia environments. E condemn di nefarious acts wey some environmentally-insensitive people dey do and warn about di negative impact on public health. Cole also stress how open urination, defecation and wrong refuse disposal dey worsen air quality for some parts of di state.
