Lagos State Police Command don send strong warning to youths wey still dey see cultism as achievement instead of shame after them arrest 135 suspected cultist for different part of lagos on Monday night wey dem believe say gather because of cult initiation.
Police say all di suspects wey dem parade no be people wey dem carry from dia bedroom. According to dem, na during coordinated raids for different black spots across Lagos, based on credible intelligence from community members nah in help dem dem arrest di suspects.
Police believe say many of di young men gather for those places because of cult initiation or other cult-related activities. Dem however add say investigation still dey continue to know who get hand for wetin before di law go take its full course.
Police come tuale give residents wey blow whistle untop the matta, reminding everybody say, “Na bundle of broom dey sweep compound clean.” Dem encourage Lagosians make dem continue to partner with security agencies because security na everybody business.
For another side of di operation, police don also tighten dia grip on motorists wey still dey drive vehicles without registration or number plates. Several vehicles don land for police yard as officers continue enforcement across di state.
Although police say many vehicle owners don begin obey di law, dem warn say anybody wey still dey hide number plate or drive vehicle wey no get registration dey invite unnecessary wahala.
Police insist say di operation no go stop until every vehicle wey dey move for Lagos roads carry proper registration and visible number plate.
To youths wey still dey reason cultism, police get one final message: “Road wey begin with small wrong turn fit end for prison gate.” Better future no dey inside secret oath or dangerous gang. E dey inside hard work, patience and lawful living.
